Cerita anime ini bercerita tentang Nyaa-tan, kucing astrologi Cina yang ingin menjadi anggota dari zodiak Cina. Nyaa-tan sederhana dan hilang ingatan, dan dia mencoba berbagai cara bodoh untuk menjadi anggota. Dia bertemu Takeru Amato, seorang siswa SMA yang tinggal sendirian di Akihabara, dan menjadi tamu di rumahnya. Sedikit demi sedikit, ia semakin dekat dengan tujuannya.
