Gintaro adalah roh rubah yang telah melindungi kuil Inari kecil sejak era Edo. Keluarga Saeki Makoto memiliki kekuatan untuk melihat agen para dewa ‘, tapi kemampuan terbatas pada satu hidup relatif pada suatu waktu. Ketika ibu Makoto meninggal saat dia masih muda, Makoto mewarisi kemampuan sebagai anggota keluarga yang tersisa satu-satunya.
